Each month I create a set of video lessons with PDF and backing track downloads on a specific topic in improvisation.

We use standard tunes from the jazz and popular repertoire as vehicles for learning.

Members work through the material on their own and the braver ones video themselves playing and submit that video to the community for my feedback.

I review each submission and reply with a video of my own.

This system has allowed me to work with sax players from all around the world and it is extremely fulfilling to see and hear the progress so many of our members have experienced.

Do I get access to past Studio content with my membership?
Yes! When you sign up for the BetterSax Studio you will get access to all content from previous Studio units.
How do I submit recordings of my playing?
It's easy to share recordings or video to be reviewed. We recommend using YouTube for video and Soundcloud for audio. Both are free. Once you have uploaded your recorded content to one of those sites you simply copy and paste the URL link inside the BetterSax Studio to start getting feedback.
Do I have to submit recordings to be a BetterSax Studio member?
Recording Submissions are NOT a requirement. One of the best parts about the BetterSax Studio is that members not only learn from the instructors, but also from each other. Student recordings that get submitted to the Studio will be visible by all members and so will the teacher's feedback. While this is an ideal situation for learning, we understand that not everyone is ready to record themselves and have those recordings analyzed by others.
What are the pre-requisites to join?
Anyone who is an intermediate level player is welcome to join. It is recommended that BetterSax Studio members have a basic level of music theory (know a few scales and chords) to be comfortable with the lessons. Going through the Harmonic Foundation Course will provide the necessary background but is not required.
Will my renewal price go up?
No. Your price is locked in as long as your subscription remains active.
Do I also get access to other BetterSax courses with a Studio membership?
No, all other BetterSax courses are sold separately.
